    Brief biographical details

     

    Harvey Rands BSc. Hons, Solicitor

     

    Harvey Rands read Philosophy & Physics at The City University. He is a Partner of Memery Crystal LLP. In 1991, he and his wife, Anne, and other parents formed the charity that operates St. Mary's School. He has been Chair of the Trustees since 2005 and is a co-opted member of the governing body. His four children all attended St. Mary's.

     

    Keith Wilkins CPA

     

    Keith Wilkins was born in the United States, where he qualified as a Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1974. He is a Director at J. Walter Thompson. He has been an ex officio governor since 2000, when he became Treasurer. He is Chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee. His two daughters attended St Mary's.

     

    Patrick Minns AA Dip. RIBA

     

    Patrick Minns has his own architectural practice. He has family connections with the school going back to the 1950s and was one of the original group that re-founded St Mary's School as a charitable trust in 1992, when he became a governor. He has been a Trustee since 2003.

     

    Kevin Murphy MA (Oxon)

     

    Kevin Murphy read Modern History at Keble College, Oxford. His subsequent career has been spent in the City. In 1999 he and three colleagues founded Indigo Capital LLP, which provides mezzanine financing for European businesses. He was appointed a Trustee in 2007.

     

    Susan McCarron MA (Cantab), Solicitor (Susan.McCarron@stmh.co.uk)

     

    Susan McCarron read Modern and Medieval Languages at Newnham College, Cambridge and practised as a solicitor at Theodore Goddard. She became a Governor in April 2010, a Trustee in April 2012 and Chair of Governors in September 2012. Her two daughters were both educated at St Mary's.

     

    Miranda Snowden, MPhys Hons (Oxon)

     

    Miranda graduated with a Masters in Physics from New College, Oxford where she specialised in Astrophysics.  She is an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management where she has been since she graduated in 2005.  Miranda and her three siblings were pupils at St Mary’s Hampstead and she went on to St Mary’s Ascot with her sister.

     

    Deirdre Rowe MA, PGCE, CCRS, NPQH

     

    Deirdre Rowe read Music at Trinity College Dublin and has spent her career in education. From 2007 to 2010 she was Diocesan Director of Education in the Diocese of Leeds and in September 2010 she was appointed Academic Deputy Head of St Leonard's-Mayfield School, Sussex. In January 2014 she became Deputy Head of Ampleforth College, where she is now Associate Head.

     

    Robert Carlysle BA Hons (London), MBA, PGCE

     

    Robert Carlysle read Medieval and Modern History at King's College, London. As well as a PGCE from KCL, he holds an MBA in Educational Management from the University of Leicester and a Postgraduate Certificate in Literacy and Dyslexia from the University of York. He was the founding Headmaster of The Moat School in 1998 and retired from the Headship of More House School in April 2014. Robert has been an ISI Team Inspector since 1998.

     

    Amanda Gethin BA Hons (London), MSc

     

    Amanda Gethin studied French and Drama at the University of London and Drama at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Later she studied for an MSc in Human Resources Management and she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personnel & Development. She is currently the UK Human Resources Lead for Financial Services practice and the EMEIA FSO Advisory HR Lead for Ernst & Young. Her son and daughter both attended St Mary's.

     

    Amelia Granger MA (Oxon)

     

    Amelia Granger studied Modern Languages at St. Hugh's College Oxford. She has pursued a career in film and has worked for Working Title Films as a creative executive since 1994. Her three children have all attended St Mary's.

     

    Dr David Harris MB BS. London; FRCP

     

    David Harris studied medicine at Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, University of London, where he qualified as a doctor in 1981. Since 2002 He has been Consultant Dermatologist at the London Clinic of Dermatology. He holds a number of public appointments including the Chair of Clinical Governance at the Wellington Hospital. He was appointed a governor in 2012 and is a member of the Health and Safety Committee. His daughter attended St Mary’s School.

     

    Sr Patricia Harriss CJ, BA Hons, London

     

    Sr Patricia Harriss has been involved in many aspects of education both in Britain and overseas throughout her religious life. She was Headmistress of St Mary's School, Cambridge from 1972 to 1977. She is currently Director of Novices at the Bar Convent, York.

     

    Sean Murphy MA (Cantab)

     

    Sean Murphy read Engineering at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. After working for JP Morgan in a number of corporate finance and merger and acquisition roles, since 2000 Sean has worked in strategy and corporate development for several financial institutions including Capital One, Santander and Aviva. His three daughters all attended St Mary’s School.

     

    Matthew O'Reilly BA (Hons), PGCE

     

    Matthew O'Reilly read German and Politics at Newcastle University, following which he taught English and worked as an interpreter and translator in Japan and Germany. Returning to live in England in 2009 he decided to pursue a teaching career. After gaining his PGCE at Homerton College, Cambridge, he joined St Mary's Cambridge in 2010 and became Head of Juniors in May 2016.
